The home building industry is gradually rebuilding itself, after the recession had brought new-home construction basically to a standstill. Some builders are seeing booming business – and profits – again.
Builder Magazine released its “Builder 100” list, which ranks the nation’s top building firms by revenue. The following home builders ranked in the top 10 for the highest revenues generated from home-building in 2013.
D.R. Horton Inc.: $6.4 billion
PulteGroup Inc.: $5.5 billion
Lennar Corp.: $5.4 billion
Toll Brothers: $2.7 billion
Taylor Morrison Home Corp.: $2.3 billion
Hovnanian Enterprises Inc.: $2.1 billion
KB Home: $2.1 billion
The Ryland Group Inc.: $2.1 billion
Standard Pacific Homes: $1.9 billion
Meritage Homes Corp.: $1.8 billion
