Tempe – Weidner Apartment Homes  has acquired its 30th multi-family asset in the Valley with the $75.5 million ($162,017 per unit) purchase of The Lofts at Rio Salado, a 466-unit apartmentcomplex within the Papago Park Center mixed-use project in Tempe. The multi-family community, located at 1033 N. Parkside Drive, is just south of Washington Street and west of Center Parkway. As part of its deal, the Weidner entity assumed a sublease on the 80-plus year ground lease of the multi-family site. The Lofts at Rio Salado was developed in 2004.
